Commercial Construction Project Manager

Location: Mobile, AL

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 DOE + Annual Bonus + Profit Sharing

Fit Recruiting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager for an established general contractor in Mobile, Alabama. This is an in-office position offering a strong compensation package and long-term growth opportunity.

We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in general contracting who can successfully manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. Experience with retail and ground-up construction projects is highly preferred.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects
• Oversee project schedules, RFIs, budgets, cost control and documentation
• Prepare bid packages and subcontractor scopes of work
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials and field operations
• Lead project meetings and maintain communication with clients and project teams
• Monitor project progress, schedules and actual vs. estimated costs
• Participate in project buyout, contract negotiations and closeout
• Manage multiple projects concurrently
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering or a related field
• 4–6+ years of progressive commercial construction project management experience
• General contractor (GC) experience required
• Retail and/or ground-up commercial construction experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors and deadlines
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Procore, Sage, Bluebeam and MS Project
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Compensation & Benefits

• $110,000–$130,000 salary, depending on experience
• Annual bonus opportunity
