Program Director of Behavioral Health (LCSW or RN) – Abbeville, LA

Horizon Health is seeking a Program Director of Behavioral Health (LCSW or RN) of Behavioral Health to join our team at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville, LA. This is a 16 bed inpatient psychiatric unit treating ages 18+. The Program Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the maintenance of the Horizon Health/Client hospital contractual relationship(s) and in coordination with the client, the overall administration of patient care for the Program. He/she plans, implements and evaluates delivery of overall nursing care to patients. He/she provides managerial support by providing supervision and evaluation of all nursing personnel for the Program.

Supervisory Responsibility

\n

Will provide direct supervision to Program Horizon employed clinical and administrative staff; and perform in an advisory capacity to client staff supporting the behavioral health program.

\n

\n

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

\n

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are subject to the needs of the Program which operates on a 24 hour; seven days a week basis. Please refer to Program or Hospital attendance policy for additional direction on shifts, holidays and attendance.

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) required.
\n
• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Louisiana.
\n
• Master’s Degree preferred
\n
• Must have 5 to 8+ years of related work experience
\n
• American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS required
\n
• CPR Certification
\n
